December
Our December speaker was a Chapter member and stamp collector, who presented on the Battlefields of the American Revolution stamps that were designed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
We held a Welcoming Service for a new Chapter member.
The Chapter Regent presented a member with a Service Award for 30 years with the DAR! Two other members recieved five year Service Awards.
November
Chapter members attended the National Defense Luncheon in Rockville, Maryland.
October
In early October, we met over Zoom to discuss the book The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon.
At the chapter meeting, we had a tour of the Maryland DAR Chapter House and collection, led by the State Curator.
Several Chapter members also attended Founder's Day.
September
At the September chapter meeting, we learned about the Baltimore Album quilt that currently resides in the DAR museum.
We also welcomed two new members!
May
Our new chapter officers take their oaths on May 31. The installation ceremony was conducted by the State Regent.
At the May meeting, State Regent shares her special projects with our chapter members.
Our new Chapter Regent assumes her office and adjourns the May meeting.
April
At the April chapter meeting, members and guests enjoyed a program presented by our guest speaker "The School Lady" about her fifteen-year project documenting all the standing one-room country schools in North Dakota. Following the program, State Regent and Eastern Division Vice Chair for Historic Preservation assisted Chapter Regent in awarding our speaker the DAR Historic Preservation Medal.
March
At the March chapter meeting, we enjoyed a presentation from the President of Maryland C.A.R. She shared information about her project entitled "Clear Skies and Favorable Winds" which spreads awareness about the importance of the Chesapeake Bay by sharing its cultural, historical, and environmental history and value.
We also welcomed a new member to our chapter!
The yellow rose symbolizes friendship, joy, warmth, and gladness.
Chapter members also attended the Maryland DAR State Conference at Turf Valley in March.

February
Chapter members gather for a Zoom program entitled "The Marquis de Lafayette's Farewell Tour of America 1824-1825" with State Vice Regent/National Chair of the Franco American Memorial Committee.
December
In December, chapter members commemorated the 200th Anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette's Farewell Tour of America (1824-25). They enjoyed a brief history of Lafayette, a trivia game, and authentic foods from the period.
Chapter members enjoyed updated versions of two of Lafayette's favorite dishes -- Virginia Gumbo and Pound Cake with fruit, recipes found in Anne Byrn's American Cake (1754) and Mary Randolph's The Virginia Housewife (1838). Source: dar.org, Commemorative Events Committee, Lafayette toolkit

Our October speaker was a nurse who served in Vietnam. Here, she accepts a chapter donation for the Vietnam Women's Memorial in Washington, DC, along with a Vietnam Nurse's Memorial pin, a DAR Vietnam Veteran pin, and DAR Challenge Coin.

Chapter members gather on a rainy May day for the chapter meeting at Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area, the namesake of our chapter. A Maryland State Park Ranger shared his fascinating presentation on the history and unique ecosystem of the Serpentine Barrens of the Soldiers Delight area.

Chapter Regent and Vice Regent with the three speakers from the Youghiogheny Glades Chapter as they share their year-long project documenting “Remarkable Women of Garrett County”.
Chapter regent attended a special program at Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis, meeting guest speaker Peter MacDonald, one of the last three living Navajo Code Talkers of WWII.

Two members were honored in April for their 10-year membership anniversaries. Certificates presented by the Membership chair.
Chapter member and honorary state regent gave the program at our April meeting at a local tea room. She shared information about her Patriot ancestor Roger Brooke and his family. She showed her family tree going back to Charlemagne.
